Here are the results from February 25th's Tier 2 K2 finals race at Alpine Ski Club
Overall team results:
-Craigleith-216 points

Keep in mind that we were not even supposed to be at the finals, we were in essence 6th going into the race today and moved up to 5th!
The young team got off to a bit of a rough start with a loss to a much older Horseshoe Valley team. With the first race under their belts they proceeded to ring off 3 consecutive wins against Snow Valley, Heights of Horseshoe and finished the year off with one of the most dominating victories of the season against Milton Heights with a 255 to 134 score. Dwight's Ashley Campbell lead all girls on the team, followed closely by Emma Magee from Dwight as well.
Cottagers Sam Crowder and Marshall Leishman were the top boys respectively. The rest of the team consisted of local skiers female Rylan Oliver, Julia Caswell, and boys Andy Bulloch, William Caswell, Chris Miller, and Cole Stevens. As well as cottagers Annie Leishman, Ella Magee, and Jack Fejer. A big thanks to all who helped out this year, and we look forward to next year.

The K1 Blurr team, coached by Jason Sullivan, won the semi finals, and earned a berth in the southern Ontario Tier 2 division Finals. Gage Magee won first overall for the boys, with a time of 34.69 followed by Addie Howell in second place for the girls, with a time of 34.01 and Matthew Grant placed third for the boys, with a time of 35.78.
The K1 Blurr team travelled to Osler Bluff Ski Club in Collingwood for the Finals on February 26th, and competed against five other teams, two from Osler Bluff, Devil's Glen, Milton Heights and Glacier, placing fifth overall. Addie Howell and Kathryn Lihou earned top ten finishes for the girls, Addie eighth with a time of 57.08 and Kathryn tenth with a time of 57.92. Gage Magee and Jacob Barnes earned top ten finishes for the boys, Gage sixth with a time of 55.86 and Jacob ninth with a time of 56.76.

Under the as usual awesome direction of Coach Warren, and under some very heavy snow conditions, The MSC K2 racers were Awesome at the K2 Semi-Finals.

Kelsi Murdy was missed today, but we all hope she did well in the Pool instead.
There is one person not thanked in Mike's list who deserves recognition and tremendous thanks for his tireless effort, tremendous enthusiasm and unflagging team spirit. That's Mike himself - simply great job.
Competing against the Batawa Tigers, Muskoka Ski Club won, with a score of 306 to 216, achieved their second podium sweep of the season and won both the fastest boy and fastest girl combined times.

On the podium for the girls, Addie Howell, gold, Kate Gogan, silver and Kathryn Lihou, bronze with times of 30.45, 33.64 and 34.92 respectively.
On the podium for the boys, Gage Magee, gold, Matthew Grant, silver and Jacob Barnes, bronze with times of 32.29, 32.91 and 33.59 respectively.
The K1 Blurr team is sanctioned by Alpine Ontario and is comprised of 11 and 12 year old boys and girls. Huntsville locals Addie Howell, Gage Magee, Sydney Stevens and Matthew Stevens are supported by cottagers Nick Valentine, Jacob Barnes, Finn Magee, twins Matthew and Nathalie Grant, Amanda Gryniewski, Jakob Heinz, Kathryn Lihou, Emilio Ortelli, Kate Gogan, Jack Long and Evan Stothers. This win is the MSC Blurr's fourth win and final race of the regular season, the semi finals begin next weekend.

MSC K2 Heat double header GS races, Sunday January 29th, at Glacier Ski Club and Moonstone:
Under the excellent direction of Coach Warren Wilkinson, with the support of Team Manager Mike Loma, our K2 Heat had an awesome day on the slopes with 2 races; one in the AM and another in the PM at Moonstone, hosted by Glacier Ski club.
In our first race against Glacier "A" we won 274 vs 246.

MSC K1 Blurr Slalom Race, Saturday January 28th at Alpine Ski Club:
The MSC K1 Blurr team was in action again this weekend, competing in a panel slalom against Alpine Blue, at Alpine Ski Club.
The final score was Muskoka Ski Club 291, Alpine Blue 231.
For the girls, Addie Howell won gold, Nathalie Grant won silver and Kate Gogan won bronze, with times of 40.65, 42.30 and 42.39 respectively.
For the boys, Jacob Barnes won gold, and Gage Magee won bronze, with times of 38.13 and 40.72 respectively.
Congratulations to Jacob Barnes, who also won fastest boy of the day, competing against five other teams.

MSC Nancy Greene No Fear Race, Saturday January 28th at Muskoka Ski Club:
The MSC Nancy Greene No Fear team beat Heights of Horseshoe 237 points to 194!
The top for times all belong to MSC racers: Ashley Campbell 36.54, Sam Crowder 38.56, Marshall Leischman 40.83 and Chris Miller 44.92.
MSC K1 Blurr Stubbie Slalom, Saturday January 21st, at Georgian Peaks:
MSC Racers win in Collingwood!
The MSC K1 Blurr Team had an afternoon stubbie slalom race against the Heights of Horseshoe Blue. Also competing in our group, Georgian Peaks Plutonium, Alpine Ski Club, Chicopee Grizzly Bears, and the Batawa Tigers.
We won our match 306 pts to 216 pts, and Muskoka Ski Club racers swept the podium!!
For the boys, Gage Magee, Gold; Jacob Barnes, Silver and Matthew Grant, Bronze, with times of 34.74, 36.17 and 36.45 respectively.
For the girls, Addie Howell, Gold; Nathalie Grant, Silver and Kathryn Lihou, Bronze, with times of 35.38, 39.73 and 40.33 respectively.
A great big congratulations to Addie Howell, who also won fastest girl of the day (from all six teams!!)
