Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area is proud to offer the on-hill service of the Muskoka Zone of the Canadian Ski Patrol System. The dedicated volunteers patrol our hills to assist skiers and snowboarders.

Health and Safety Policy

The Health and Safety Policy at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area is a reflection of our organization’s commitments and goals to provide a healthy and safe workplace. The Board of Directors of Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Club and the Management Team at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area are interested in the health and safety of our workers and guests. Our focus is to provide a healthy and safe environment to protect our workers and guests from injury or illness in the workplace at our Resort. To ensure the objectives derived from this policy are obtained, all levels of workers must be dedicated to reducing risk of injury or illness in the workplace.

Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area, as an employer, is ultimately responsible for worker health and safety. As General Manager, I give you my personal promise that every reasonable precaution will be taken to protect workers from harm in the workplace. Legislative requirements will serve as minimum acceptable standards for Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area.

Supervisors are accountable for the health and safety of workers under their supervision. Supervisors are responsible to ensure that machinery and equipment are safe and that workers follow established safe work practices and procedures. Workers must receive adequate training in their specific work tasks to protect their health and safety.

All workers must protect his or her own safety by working in compliance with the law and within Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area’s safe work practices and procedures.

It is in the best interest of all parties to consider health and safety in every activity. Commitment to health and safety must form an essential part of this organization from the Management to the workers.
